Meanwhile, I was combing various blogs over the Internet. In course of time, I ran into an article about Leadership & Management.
The Article was about a Leader who manages his Project Team members, though each one of them are of different personalities.
Here’s how a legendary leader would handle the situation. During the meeting, the leader would strategically delegate and assign aspects of the project accordingly to each team member’s strengths. In the process, she would complement each member on their particular skill set. She would also explain the importance of the project and the need to complete it on time in a powerful and motivating tone. Company policy permitting, perhaps she would even attach a small bonus to the goal. At the end of meeting, with the entire group still present, she would say to John, “Before you get started on your work, I’d like to speak to you privately to clarify a few matters! Please meet me in my office.” At that point, the team would understand, without any doubt whatsoever, who’s leading and where they stand. They also would realize that John’s behavior has landed him in hot water.
When the leader speaks to John, she would explain that, in no uncertain terms, complaining, being unreasonable, and undermining her authority in front of the team is unacceptable and will not be tolerated. On the other hand, if he wishes to make a positive contribution in a meeting or privately, she is always open to suggestions and welcomes new ideas.

In the coming months, the leader would monitor John’s behavior. If the pattern ensues, then a follow up meeting would be scheduled. At that point, the leader would attempt to unearth the root cause of John’s behavior and help him correct it. Without question, the cost of hiring a new employee exceeds the cost of saving an existing one.
In conclusion, when an employee is whining, a legendary leader or skilled manager does not serve them cheese. Instead, he or she takes the carafe out of their hand!!
I learnt a good thing after going through the article. Infact, I had an experience regarding this kind of issue, in one of my project. And, one of my 'friend', explained me the importance of team and teamwork, so that I can dwell nicely with my team-mates and work out making the things good between us.

But, my mind set at that time, was trying to do some other things, like changing my team members and make things work my way.
Now, I feel that I was wrong in thinking so. One should work towards developing his personality along with others'.
I was attracted to the feel of that article, so wished to share it with other's too, which made me to write this article here....!!! :)
Hope it helps in developing one of your leadership skills...!!! :)
